Inverleven distillery was built in 1938 within the Dumbarton Grain distillery complex. The stills were decommissioned in 1991 and have since been removed. Dumbarton distillery was closed in 2003 and the site has since been sold.

Bottling: Rarest of the Rare Inverleven 1977 - 26yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Colour: Amber.
Nose: Juicy fruit & vanilla mingling.
Flavour: Fruit medley of oranges & pears.
Finish: Very long smooth finish with a hint of nuttiness..
Comments:   

Bottling: Rarest of the Rare Inverleven 1977 - 27yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 3098.
Colour: Mid amber.
Nose: Pear and lemon drops.
Flavour: Grassy, spicy and nutty.
Finish: Oily and smooth with light oakiness.
Comments:  Fruity lowlander.

Bottling: Rarest of the Rare Inverleven 1978 - 26yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 1873.
Colour: Pale straw.
Nose: Fresh, creamy & Milky – Lemon zest and white chocolate, wood.
Flavour: Lemon, creamy oiliness. Spice.
Finish: Dry, lasting with a citrus burst.
Comments:  Very drinkable – Typical lowlander with lots of fruity zing.

Bottling: Rarest of the Rare Inverleven 1979 - 24yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 5665.
Colour: Pale gold with green highlights.
Nose: Full, oily. Lawnmowers, peaches and apples.
Flavour: Rich, fresh wood, hint of bitter chocolate with fruity background.
Finish: Oily, creamy and fruity.
Comments:  Stunning – a full on Lowlander.

Bottling: Duncan Taylor Inverleven 1977 - 26yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 3097.
Colour: Mid Amber.
Nose: Lemon and pear drops.
Flavour: Quite thick and oily - lemongrass.
Finish: Lingering chewy fruitiness.
Comments:  A stunning fruity dram.

Bottling: Duncan Taylor Inverleven 1977 - 28yo Single Malt Scotch Whisky.  
Cask No: 3099.
Colour: Golden.
Nose: Fresh mint from the garden and vanilla notes with touch of oakiness.
Flavour: Grassy, hints of lemon zest.
Finish: Smooth, zesty and fruity.
Comments:  Nice and fresh.
